ABOUT BRITTANY WAGNER
Nurse Practitioner and Certified Health Coach
Meet Brittany Wagner!
Brittany is a nurse practitioner and certified health coach.
She has worked in health care/nursing for over 15 years. She has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Then obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing degree in Nursing Education from DeSales University and a Post Masters Degree from Drexel University as an Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
She has worked as an oncology nurse, neuro/trauma intensive care nurse, course coordinator/faculty for an associate degree RN program and clinical instructor for multiple universities. After obtaining her nurse practitioner degree in 2016 she has spent 7 years focusing on the speciality of gastroenterology. This specialty has led her to pursue a different approach to health care. After seeing people struggle with their chronic diseases and ultimately failure of the traditional medical model, she knew there had to be something more.
She has sought advanced training in client centered health coaching and received specialized instruction through Harvard University in Culinary Medicine. Through researched and evidence based practices, she found that lifestyle and culinary medicine could really make a true impact on peoples lives and ultimately their health.
Aside from nursing...
Brittany has a very active life caring for 3 sons with her husband Kris. She often feels being a mom is the hardest job she's ever been given, but also the most rewarding. This has helped fuel her love of food and cooking which started when she was young. Often, admiring the amazing cooking and baking skills of her own grandmother. She has tried to instill the love of cooking, food, and family in her own boys. In turn, also preparing them to be adults and cook for themselves some day. She firmly believes the ability to cook will help provide them with a healthier life. In her spare time she is addicted to setting goals and accepting new challenges. Often times this comes through her love of exercise in the form of marathons, triathlons, spartan races, and more recently body building competitions.
